SDG 2 · primary
Our core proposition is not payments, it is using digital financial infrastructure to improve access to food. An employer funds an allowance; we restrict it to food; the employee gets predictable food purchasing power; the merchant gets a reliable digital payment. That is a food-access ecosystem, not a generic payments product.
What we claim, precisely
Chawpass contributes to SDG 2 by using digital financial infrastructure to improve access to food for employees and consumers, while expanding the ability of food merchants to participate in a structured digital food economy.

Three groups gain at once. Employees get food benefits as a genuine part of welfare and compensation. Employers get a benefit that is efficient to administer. Food MSMEs — bukas, canteens, caterers, vendors — gain the ability to accept digital payment and join a corporate food economy they were shut out of.

Chawpass strengthens decent work and inclusive economic growth by improving employee welfare through structured food benefits, and by bringing food MSMEs into the formal digital economy as accepting merchants.

We are building digital financial infrastructure, not a single consumer app. The stack runs from banks, through payment infrastructure, through Chawpass, out to employers, employees and merchants — with employer and merchant APIs, bank integrations, payment orchestration, transaction analytics and fraud detection already scoped.

Chawpass does not claim to eliminate hunger, poverty or inequality. We claim, precisely, to contribute to food access and food-security mechanisms, to strengthen the economic position of the people and businesses in our ecosystem, and to build the infrastructure that makes both possible.
Our platform is in build, so every indicator here is a target to track from launch — not an achieved result. We will keep saying so until real data exists.
